Luotsi 1911 Suite

Location was good. It is fairly easy to walk to the city centre and trams stops are nearby. The area was quiet. The apartment was a good size and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The instructions for entering the property were precise and the property itself was secure. Weather was cold (-3 to around +3 during our stay) and the apartment was warm. A supermarket is less than 5 minutes walk away. There is a bar within easy walking distance.

Bathroom was fairly small, with only a small space between the toilet and the door. Fine for us but might be a problem for larger people. We found the bed to be uncomfortable after a few days. The apartment is at street level and appears to be a converted shop, with the original shop door still in place, though not in use. If you use the living room expect people walking past to be able to see in. There are blinds and we didn't have a problem with privacy.

A rearranged commercial or common space made into an apartment. Not suitable for wheelchair/similar due to a step inside the apt but otherwise well distributed. Equipped kitchen in conjunction with tv/sofa & dining space.

We enjoyed the location the most...it was so close to the city center and the hosts had made an amazing list of places to visit for tourists. We went to their recommended sauna, and it was just wonderful.

There wasn't anything that we disliked.

Great location - there is plenty happening nearby (coffee shops, restaurants, ferry port, small supermarket) but also peaceful as it’s mostly residential. The apartment was very well appointed with everything one could require for a lo gosh stay. The bed was very comfortable. We’ll definitely return.

The shower was very powerful but the bathroom is small with a thin curtain which means the floor gets wet (like a wetroom).

Lovely place, calm and comfortable

The best was definitely the location. Beautiful area, all the houses on this street are so beautiful, short walking distance to many interesting places. The room was very clean and the bed was really comfortable and it was quiet and good to sleep there with a nice view to the inner courtyard from the bedroom window. The kitchen and living room are ok, and offer sufficient but basic equipment. Coffee machine was nice.

From the pictures, it was not clear to me, that the apartment is on the street level. Personally I did not like that very much, but as I did not spend so much time there during the day, it didn't matter. It might be nice to mention it in the description. I missed a "juustohöylä" in the kitchen ;) The bathroom/toilet is clean but quite small. A minor, and not so important thing - the refrigerator was cleaned inside with such a strong smelling chemical - that it felt a bit unpleasant. It would have been really nice to get the information, that not far away from the accommodation, you can park for half the price. If you park in the close neighborhood the price is extremely high. I parked at the parking area from the Grand Marina (5 Min away) and payed only 18 EUR per day, and it is allowed to park there. I asked if there are cheaper parking places, but there was no information on that matter - so this would be a good information for the guests who come by car.
