Host Stay High Street

Great base for exploring north Yorkshire. The house was comfortable warm and great for our party of 3 adults 3 children and 2 dogs.

Good communication prior, during and after, visit. Tastefully decorated with a homely feel. Loved the little courtyard for early morning coffee and evening glass of wine. All amenities close by. Coffee tea and some toiletries supplied which was a nice touch Would definitely recommend

Oven cleaning could be improved

Location was OK

The property clearly has a damp issue - and the smell for the first coupld of days, especially in the back double bedroom, was bad. It also needs a very good deep clean. Perhaps it's better for people with dogs.

Beds were comfortable, location was ok.

It was dirty, unclean, poorly maintained, facilities were poor as we didn’t cook their and many of the electrical sockets were dangerous to say least, towels were not clean nor efficient!!

There was nothing to like

It was filthy, I had to clean when we first got there, there was still the dirt from the previous review! Sofas were very uncomfortable, there were stains on our bed, the bunk beds were unsafe, we found cannabis in the bed side table draw. Do not book, its worth just spending the little extra for somewhere better. I have contacted the company that let it out but I haven't heard anything back from them, definitely won't book again!

Nothing. It was dirty and beds had been slept in and a used, dirty towel in bathroom. I called and requested a refund immediately and five days on still waiting. There were dirty dishes also still left

It had been recently evacuated and not cleaned before my arrival with two young children. There was no parking, it was not clean. We arrived, looked around in horror and left to book a hotel.

Location was fine if you have a vehicle

Dirty, dust and hairs in cupboards, no blinds in the main bedroom, half a blind in another bedroom, incredibly uncomfortable beds and sofas, cobwebs on light fittings, bunk beds unsafe to use, stains on sofas and bedding, no iron despite it saying there is one, plug socket hanging off the wall in children's bedroom. Would definitely not recommend!
