Sand and Tan Beach Hotel

Don’t go around it. It’s very expensive. Dirty. Very bad breakfast. Noisy. Room was smelling like pies.

I stayed at Sand and Tan along with 7 others in our nonprofit group. The location is nice, right on the beach, with plenty of beach chairs, and a beach side restaurant. The rooms were large and comfortable, well cleaned. However there were a few problems for two of the rooms. One room had no hot water. Our room, on the first floor, had doors to a lovely patio. However we could not access the patio from our room, we had to go outside to get to it. The doors wouldn't open; initially they opened a couple inches, and it took numerous reminders to get the staff to close it. Despite several requests they never made it possible to open the doors. Another issue was towels, which were fine, when we had them. The second day we never had towels, and weren't advised that there were problems. Finally at 9 PM I went with a staff member to the laundry room and he found two towels for our room. That was only an issue for my room, the others on my trip had towels. We also weren't given water bottles the second day, though some of the rooms did get them. We were given bottles when we asked, and informed that to get water we needed to ask. Other than that the staff was friendly and helpful.

I gave this hotel a two star one for free breakfast and one for view, my room was cleaned since I got here , the shower head fell off twice ,and is still off. I just can’t get over that I’ve been here since Tuesday and my room has not been cleaned. My garage bin has overflowing. This will be the first time and the last time I will come back here

It was nice that the hotel was on the beach and it was very clean, lovely water. The beach attendants were lovely, always helped us move the beach chairs and umbrellas. It was nice that the bar was on the beach too so drink topups were quick. The staff were very friendly.

I specifically requested a quiet room for my baby and also a room on the ground floor because my mum is disabled and couldn't go up the stairs. We got a room right across from the bar which was fine. What wasn't fine was every night the bar had music on full blast until unsociable hours. One night in particular it was still going at 10pm and my mum stuck her head out the door and asked to turn it off because it kept waking up my baby, only to find it was just staff playing music loud to entertain themselves while they cleaned up. Also the breakfast was cold and was the same every day (callalloo for Jamaican breakfast 3 days in a row or eggs). The restaurant was out of many options on the menu for the 3 days we were there and when we did order food it took 2hrs to come.

A praia em frente é maravilhosa! Tem um bar com ótimas opções de comida e bebida de frente pro mar. Quartos espaçosos e camas muito confortáveis. Ótima localização! Ficamos apenas uma noite, mas eu voltaria com certeza! Melhor hospedagem que ficamos na Jamaica

Ottima posizione direttamente su una spiaggia privata molto carina. Atmosfera calda e locale, non turistica . Ristorantino sul mare. Grande disponibilità del personale

Bagno senza finestra e solo due asciugamani Camera disadorna con arredi poveri . Colazione minimalista. Strada in pessime condizioni
