We enjoyed the spa facilities along with the surrounding gardens. The staff were excellent and beyond willing to help. As it is a smaller accommodation, the staff were able to provide an excellent service. The rooms were clean and well maintained.

The location is good however not ideal. The city centre is around a 20-25 minute walk from Villa die Gelsi. This is mostly down hill and can be steep in places. The walk back to the villa can be challenging due to the hills and possibly the weather. However, this is made easier as there is a bus stop about 7 min walk from the villa. Guests should be prepared to use bus/taxi for journeys back to villa, especially at night. No other complaints about the property itself!

Everything about my stay was perfect. It was super quiet and calm and comfortable. I wanted to stay an extra day! The staff were super friendly and welcoming to me and my little dog. The chef even baked me a special gluten free oatmeal cake for breakfast! It made me feel seen and heard and welcomed. Get the fresh juices and omelette and the strong cappucino. So many gluten free options for breakfast, as I am intolerant. Also, I loved the smell of roses and other flowers on the property. It was fun to stay at a dog friendly property.

I really wanted to swim in the pools, but I am a sissy for cold water. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. I love that you can swim 24/7, in case you have jet lag. The sauna closes at 11pm, when reception closes.

Peaceful quiet place

Endnu et dejligt ophold på Relais Gelsi. Igen i år havde vi 3 dage i bakkerne bag Verona og det føltes som at besøge gode venner at komme igen. Omgivelserne er smukke og velholdte og værelserne funktionelle og lækkert indrettet. Personalet er super søde og imødekommende, og det er tydeligt at de har ejerskab for stedet. De er meget serviceminded og altid smilende. Vi kommer helt sikkert igen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The property is located on a hill, 10 minutes by car from Verona's historical center, making it a bit inconvenient to reach places by walking. We needed to drive or get a taxi, which wasn't always easy. Breakfast wasn't included but was available upon request. The property offered it to us as well as a taxi to the city. Beds were comfortable. We appreciated the in-room coffee and the quality bathroom products from Erbolario, especially the Ambraliquida line. The staff was kind and helpful. The pool was enjoyable in the mornings and afternoons. Days were really hot when we were there.

Few minor aspects to mention: found few spiders in the bathroom, some staff addressing us in German (?), garden path to our room was not ideal as it was half covered by overgrown vegetation. Clearer access can be beneficial.

Fantastic location in the nature but still close to the city. Perfect to relax and lounge outside and in the salt water pool.

The rooms are gorgeous, comfy beds, delicious, beautiful gardens. We really felt relaxed and well looked after during our stay here. I would highly recommend this boutique hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful with taxis and information of taxis, sites and places to eat, thank you for looking after us and ensuring we got the most out of our stay.
