Shamrock by the Sea

We really enjoyed having a private pool and being close to the beach!

Upon arriving there were no bed sheets, though that was promptly fixed. That being said, because of the beds being unmade, it was very obvious that they do not wash the comforter/quilt, or some of the pillow shams, so that was off putting . There was sort of a musty/mildewy smell. The showers did not seem very clean either. The dryer was as not working well and we cleaned the trap each time. I even tried to get further in it to clean it better, it definitely needs to be vacuumed out probably professionally at this point. I was very happy to be able to keep up with laundry during our stay though and not have to worry about it once I got home! The WiFi did not work well, so the tv didn’t work. It could have been cleaner. There were chips/crumbs in pantry, trash in the trashcans with no bag and. I didn’t mind bringing my own toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and things like that, but the first night my husband and I realized we forgot our shower loofas and were disappointed to find that there were no rags in the restrooms. We really enjoyed the pool, and the beach entry was really nice for my baby! Being close to the beach was great, but it is right off a Main Street so it was very busy day and night. Overall we did enjoy our stay, and I thought the price was great, especially for booking so late in the year. I did check the rates for June/July and it does seem that they are similar to the rates of much nicer homes we have stayed at in the past, so I don’t know that I would book again solely based on the price. I think the home was super cute, just needs a good cleaning!
