Cuyuna Lakes Stay

Cayuna lakes was very reasonably priced and the staff was very accomadating.

Cute facelift to an older motel close to the biking trails. Great location, nice look, comfortable bed.

Not fancy, but great price and location and appealing remodel.

The motel was under new ownership and had been completely renovated. The room was large, had a new and comfortable bed, along with a selection of pillows. I am a connoisseur of hotel pillows and was impressed with those. The bathroom had lots of hot water. There was a sink, refrigerator and a toaster oven, along with a few kitchen items. TV was Roku.

I would have liked to have had a microwave which makes more sense for cooking short stay items. I talked to the owner and they said they will make them available.

This motel used to be a family-run operation, showing its' age but acceptable. Now, there is no one on site to handle issues or needed information. The doors lock/unlock with a keypad, but if you don't check the door, it doesn't engage the deadbolt leaving your room unsecured. They have painted the rooms and put down laminate flooring. Their idea of a "kitchenette" is a Cuisinart "oven". NOT EVEN A MICROWAVE! No hotpads either. Our bathroom door was on rollers - sort of. I had to re-hang the door to get it to move. Their "checkout text" instructs you how to lock the doors for the maid - after YOU haul out your trash.
