I cannot begin to describe what a wonderful experience I had while staying here. Rupert is the ultimate host. Witty, funny, and full of knowledge not only about Uist but also the rest of the Outer Hebrides and surrounding areas. He sends you an email long before your travel date detailing what to expect along with dining recommendations. Upon arrival you find his humorous and fact filled travel guide waiting for you in your room. We had a couple of discussions on what to see and where according to my schedule along with Rupert providing pictures he had taken to show me what to look for. On top of all this, you start your day with his freshly prepared breakfast (eggs and local smoked salmon-you bet!). The accommodations are clean, welcoming and full of local art and supplies. You cannot go wrong staying here. A true gem!!

Für eine Nacht auf South Uist gebucht. Die Unterkunft ist wenige Minuten vom Fähranleger in Lochboisdale entfernt und ist ein toller Ausgangspunkt für Entdeckungstouren auf den äußeren Hebriden. Die Zimmer sind sauber und gut ausgestattet. Ein Charger für Elektroautos ist vor dem Haus vorhanden. Kein TV im Zimmer und das ist manchmal auch gut so! Rupert ist ein top Host. Englischer Humor vom Feinsten und er denkt an alles. Sein selbst verfasstes Guidebook für North und South Uist ist erstklassig und liefert Tipps für tolle Ausflugsziele. Das Frühstück mit hochwertigen Zutaten wird auf Bestellung frisch zubereitet. Klare Empfehlung!
