Great location, staff very nice, room view was lovely, bathroom needed an extra clean when we, arrived, but all in all a lovely stay. Breakfast was very nice

The bathroom hadn't been cleaned when we arrived to our room, but once we notified staff we're on it straight away and all was sorted to a good standard.

Lage, Freundlichkeit und Essen sind super, Zimmer auch, alles bestens!

Parkmöglichkeit etwas entfernt, aber noch gut zu Fuß erreichbar.

It was dog friendly which made me chose it in the first place. It was very clean. The breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The doorway to the accommodation was very tight at the bottom of the stairs that you had to climb. To me the door opened the wrong way. It would have been better opening outwards.

You could hear noise from the downstairs pub. Not for the noise sensitive like me.

We had a fantastic stay at the Duke of York. The service throughout was impeccable, especially from the bar staff. Even when busy, they remained attentive, polite, and made us feel genuinely welcome. A special thank you to the barman in the black Shirt (apologies, we didn’t catch your name) for helping with our dinner reservation and recommending a lovely seat with a great view. The room was very clean, tidy, and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping clearly does an excellent job maintaining high standards and deserves credit for keeping everything spotless. The food we ordered was excellent too—honestly better than expected. A big thank you to the chefs. The fish and chips, chicken goujons, and full English breakfast were all delicious, well-cooked, and not at all greasy. Many places struggle to get the simple things right, but everything here met our expectations.

We liked everything. The room was really nice. And the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really good. And when we asked for something extra it was no problem. Thank you.
