MVC - Unit 5707 - Hawks Nest

The View!!! We were able to see fireworks from Dollywood every night. Being on the top floor gave us amazing views of the mountains. And the surrounding scenery was beautiful. We saw a deer along the walk path as we were leaving on Sunday. It was nice having the walk path and swings. The condo was very spacious. The beds in the guest rooms were comfortable and there was plenty of seating in the dining room and living room for our party of 5. The outside area had a volleyball net as well as corn hole and nice outdoor seating. Great for family gatherings and our unit supplied us with the volleyball. We were in a great location. Close to many restaurants and attractions.

The beds in the master was like sleeping on the floor. We are early risers but as soon as the sun shown it was bright as day in our Master bedroom because there are no curtains. Housekeeping definitely packed a thorough cleaning in between stays. Kitchen ware was dirty along with some dishes in the cabinet. There were dead bugs in the window seals and the bathroom drawers were dirty and had left over items from previous stays. In our unit there seemed to be water damage outside the shower which seemed to be mold. The pool area also lacked attention. The pool was cloudy the two times we went. Being disabled there was no lift for the pool so it was difficult to access. The pool area itself was dirty. The pool didn't seem to filter properly because we kept getting hair and dead bugs on us. The outside pool was okay just hot.

Loved the beautiful spacious rooms! Of all the places I’ve ever stayed this is best so far! So comfortable! The Mountain View was breathtaking! This condo had everything anyone could ask for. So clean and so comfortable! We will be staying there when we come back to visit our granddaughter that performs at Hatfields and McCoys! She also loved it! He was blown away by how huge each room was and how comfortable! Ever have a special, we’d really like to come again! One more thing, the location was perfect. I already want to come back!

Only thing that was wrong was the shower wouldn’t stop dripping in smaller bathroom. It got the rug really wet. I put it out on balcony to help it dry. There was a rip in comforter in the room with queen bed. Didn’t bother us at all. Just mentioned it so u would know.

The view is impeccable! Also, the decor is country cute.

The showers were disgusting! I had to go to the store to buy cleaner, gloves, and a scrub brush to clean two showers full of caked on mold. When I attempted to clean the shower in the primary suite bathroom, the shower head fell off and hit me. I called Hazelrig management to come and fix it and they never did. I have time stamped pictures and video that show each day the shower head was laying on the basin where it fell. Hazelrig, the property management company, was not at all helpful. They responded with a canned, “We’re sorry you’re unhappy with your stay…”. Then, “T”, the lady who responded to my call, seemed surprised that I wanted someone to come and clean the toilets and fix the unusable shower head. They sent over a maintenance man on Monday while we were out all day. When we returned, nothing had been fixed. So, I called “T” at Hazelrig again Tuesday morning to let her know that nothing had been repaired. A maintenance man was sent to our unit. When he arrived, he said he checked the shower but didn’t see anything wrong. So, I walked him to both bathrooms to show him how each shower head was dripping which was causing mold to grow within the wall along the outside of the shower as well. He didn’t seem to think the situation was much of a problem. Then I pointed out how the shower head was laying in the middle of the shower basin. He responded by insinuating that it wasn’t there the day before. After listening to a litany of excuses, he agreed to come back a little later to fix the shower head, and to repair the washers in each shower after we left. Needless to say, he never came back. “T” at Hazelrig refused to refund anything other than the cleaning fee which she still hasn’t refunded. She offered us some free tickets to shows, but I reminded her that free tickets came with the rental and that we had already done the activities we would need tickets for. We had additional problems that “T” did not fix.

Condo was clean and very well furnished. Everything worked. Plenty of room for everyone.

The elevator was a bit unnerving as it made a very loud noise.

Great location and great facilities everything was as advertised except the fireplace didn't work but I would stay there again in a heart beat and would recommend that everyone else do the same if your on the fence about staying at this location take it from me you will be very satisfied
