Madhuban Hotel

My favourite place to stay in Kathmandu - everything is just perfect! Rooms, balcony, shower, supermarket next door, quiet neighbourhood only 5-7 minute walk to Thamel. Great value!

Everything is new, clean and well taken care of. The facilities are absolutely the best I had in Nepal at this price. It is also off the beaten path, close to the city center yet not so close as to hear the noise all the time. The breakfast was very good as well and the staff friendly.

It was very clean, the room and the bathroom were spacious and the bed was comfortable. Besides it was really quiet at night. Thames is just about 10 minutes away (on foot) so no need to stay in loud and busy Thamel. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helps you with all the questions you have. Mr Laxman organized my trip to Pokhara. And in the morning I was guided to the bus station to make sure I‘ll find the right bus. That was really wonderful. Thank you for everything. 🙏

Very good location, close to Thamel but in a quiet place. Room was excellent, the breakfast is also very good. An excellent choice in that part of KTM.

The rooms were generously proportioned and maintained a high standard of cleanliness, in line with the budgetary considerations.

The breakfast and dinner offerings fell below the expected standard for a hotel of this caliber. The menu selection was notably limited and disproportionately expensive in relation to the quality of cuisine provided. It appeared as though the establishment maintained a basic menu solely for the sake of formality, rather than with genuine consideration for guest satisfaction. Furthermore, while In-Room Dining (IRD) services were available, they were subject to certain constraints. For instance, guests requesting authentic Nepali cuisine may find themselves inconvenienced by the necessity of retrieving additional items from the hotel's facilities themselves, a practice inconsistent with the expected level of service for such offerings. Additionally, the establishment's dinner schedule, if unchanged, concludes unreasonably early at 9 pm, potentially limiting guests' dining options and convenience. Such constraints detract from the overall guest experience and warrant reconsideration by hotel management.

We had an incredible stay at Madhuban hotel during our visit to Kathmandu. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and convenience throughout our stay. Firstly, they assisted us in purchasing tickets for a VIP sofa bus to Pokhara, making the process seamless and stress-free. Additionally, they kindly provided us with a packed breakfast to enjoy on the bus, which was a thoughtful gesture and greatly appreciated. The hotel itself exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Having an elevator was a bonus, and we particularly enjoyed spending time in the rooftop zone, which offered stunning views of the city. The on-site cafe was a pleasant surprise, offering delicious food at reasonable prices. The complimentary breakfast provided each morning was nothing short of amazing. The location of the hotel was also perfect for exploring Kathmandu. It was within walking distance of the tourist center, Thamel, and just a minute's walk to a supermarket, making it incredibly convenient for us to stock up on essentials. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The combination of helpful and hospitable staff, clean and comfortable rooms, convenient amenities, and excellent location made our stay truly memorable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kathmandu.
