Host & Stay - The Hayloft

The Hayloft had everything we needed and more! The bed is very comfortable. The property is warm. The setting is right next to the edge of the moor and I loved seeing the curlews and a barn owl. It is only 5 miles from Ilkley which is a great town to visit and Wharfedale has some great walks.

It was just perfect. Wonderfully equipped, comfortable, full of character, warm and cosy. The owners have thought of ever. It is positioned right on the edge of the Moor.

Nothing, perhaps if you are very tall you might find the bedroom ceiling being low a challenge.

A great spot near the moors! We had a very comfortable stay despite the very windy winter weather that prevented us from taking a walk on the moors nearby. The Hayloft is very cosy, we lit the fireplace a couple of times, and just snuggled up on the sofa. Everything is well appointed with an eye for beauty. We fully recommend it, and will be very happy to return on another visit to our friends and family who live locally. Just note that a car is a must as it is remote in the countryside, but that's what attracted us.

Comfortable, quiet and amazing location.

Stunning location. Cosy accommodation. Perfect for a short break/romantic getaway.

Location wise the property is a bit far from Ilkley but has great views and is perfect for a relaxing get away. There's direct access to walk along the moors which will take you to the Cow and Calf rocks and if you continue further directly to Ilkley. The property is also fairly spacious, great for 2 people and comes with a living room, small kitchen, bathroom, and a bedroom. The living room has a nice couch, smart TV and small fireplace and overall the atmosphere is extremely cosy. When we arrived the host also provided us with some amenities in the bathroom, along with eggs, milk and coffee for use in the kitchen. The kitchen comes with enough to cook simple meals and the whole place was spotless when we arrived.

The pathway up to the house was fairly narrow so keep in mind when driving up in a car. We didn't have a car so it was a bit far to get to Ilkley but the relaxing atmosphere was definitely worth it.
