Shiga Kogen Lodge is a delightful ryokan old style Japanese hotel. The indoor public bath has beautiful views and the outdoor experience in a snow storm with snow flurries everywhere was surreal (cost 5000 Yen). Family and staff are incredibly kind and friendly. I don’t mind the separate bathrooms - it is the ryokan style - our room for four had our our own toilet and hand washroom which was convenient. The food in the half-board rate was delicious and exquisitely prepared for us but the family and staff.

スタッフの皆さんがとても親切です。また、清掃が行き届いており、施設や設備は新しくはありませんが清潔に管理されていました。 食事も美味しいし暖かく大変良かったです。大きな施設ではできない良い点だと思います。 最後に、犬のモコちゃんが人懐っこく可愛いらしいです。

和式便器はもう要らない気がしました。その分、様式便器を整備したら良いと思います（費用がかかりますが、、、） 乾燥室出て直ぐの喫煙所は個人的に無い方がいいと思います（喫煙者の方には申し訳ありませんけども）。

Family ran lodge with everything you need right next to lifts to 4 different slopes!! How can it be better than this?

Delicious food, private Onsen, lobby fireplace, hotel dog, 3 minute walk to to Yokoteyama lift.

Nothing. Can’t wait to go back.
