The food served every night was delicious and good quality. This is our highlight of staying at this place! The Japanese lady owner personally prepares the dinner and goes around to find out if everything was good and she is very helpful. We love the golden retriever there its name is Moko.

We stayed for 6 nights and the room was not cleaned; not even the waste baskets

The owner and the staff were very attentive and always went out of their way to help us throughout our stay. The room that we booked was spacious for 4 people. We enjoyed the public bath experience and onsen. The meals were lovely, especially dinner was generous and delicious which amazingly was another thing we actually looked forward to apart from the hotbath after a long day out skiing. We would definitely book here again!

It’s our 2nd time staying at Shigakogen Lodge. We love the wonderful hosts and Moko, the dog. The breakfast and dinner were fantastic, especially the dinner which we were always looking forward to after a day of skiing! The hosts still remembered us when we “appeared” before them on the day of our arrival, and they spent time talking to us. We meet guests from various countries at the lodge, and the whole atmosphere feels so welcoming and warm!
