Stunning quirky 2-Bed Cottage in New Brighton

The property was equipped with everything necessary for any number of days away. The decoration and finishes are fabulous including the small outdoor area. The house was perfectly clean in every way and it was a pleasure to return there in the evening. The welcome gifts from the host were the best we’ve ever had and communication was excellent. Would not hesitate to stay there again

Access to the second bedroom was quite difficult having to use the paddle stairs.

The cottage is absolutely stunning, just as depicted in the photos. Its location is ideal—only a short walk to the centre, yet there are plenty of nearby activities. Vale Park is just a few minutes down the road, and there are two great pubs: one directly across the street and another just a few doors down. Additionally, there's easy access to Magazine Promenade and the beach with amazing views across to Liverpool. We also found ample free on-street parking nearby. The property itself is charming, well laid out, designed, and decorated. The owners have thought of everything you might need. I reached out to clarify the access instructions since the original email must have ended up in my spam folder. Their reply was swift and friendly, including a nice note about some supplies provided for us. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a fantastic welcome pack. The entire property was spotless, and all the little touches helped us feel at home—we settled in very quickly. The outdoor 'yarden' was another lovely bonus. The beds were incredibly comfortable, complete with fresh linen. The paddle steps leading to the top floor were easy to navigate. There was plenty of storage for our luggage, and the kitchen was well-organised with a variety of tools for meal preparation. We also discovered takeaway menus, which were a great find! A short walk away, there’s a charming high street with cafes, restaurants, gift shops, hardware stores, and convenience stores, making everything you need accessible within a 5- to 7-minute radius. It's about a 10- to 15-minute walk to the main promenade. However, as a family with two boys aged 11 and 8, we appreciated being slightly further out, with near-direct access to the beach, Magazine Promenade, and Vale Park. We were not disturbed by noise from the pubs. We enjoyed drinks in both, and the locals and other visitors were very friendly, contributing to a pleasant community vibe.

There was nothing we didn't like, apart from having to leave after only 2 nights, and we wished we had booked longer.

The location was good for walking the dog along the river, to the two pubs for a choice of food and quiet away from the traffic.

The description of the property was honest about the accessibility of some of the rooms, which didn’t bother us as we didn’t use the second bedroom up the ladder/stairs. It was great for a couple days.

Everything was provided and thought about, Kate is a lovely host and was quick to respond to my queries. It's a cute and quirky house in a good location just off the promenade. Everything was really clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Nothing I can think of

A really lovely little cottage. It is indeed quirky, but in the nicest possible way. And it is beautifully done in every detail and ready for guests in every way we could think of. Excellent!

It would have been so much better to have been staying for more than three nights considering how welcoming and comfy the cottage is.
