Pawsitively Paradise

Clean and tidy except a nasty rubber mat in the shower. Plenty of beds. Modern appliances. Lovely deck. They even included a good variety of board games and DVDs. There were plenty of mats for the dog to lay on and a hose with sprayer to wash her down. The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances and utensils.

For over $500 a night, I would have liked more details to be attended to. We were never told details of the bldg lay out or where our room was located. We were never given the key code. It was promised in an e-mail which never arrived. I had to call in. Two codes were given and one was incorrect. No info was given on how to work the key code. It was not a simple push code done. So we had to fiddle with the door for a few minutes before getting in. Bad first impression. We were never told if there would be pots and pans, kitchen knives, etc. I ended up hauling my cast iron. They had pans but no knife. A blender but no coffee filters. Cookie sheets but only one dish towel. I could have done without the 10 different wash cloths and taken 2 more dish towels. The trashcan had only one cheap extra bag which almost broke going down to the dumpster. Stains on master bathroom rug...not a big deal but for over $500? I could go to a standard hotel for cheaper and have no stains. No solutions for beach tar. It was everywhere and we had nothing to clean it. Good thing i brought an extra sponge...we used that with some success but it was a horrid mess. Beautiful balcony only to find the bedroom doors leading out don't open. The main living room door worked but it would have been nice to walk from the master to the balcony. Lamps in the smaller bedroom connected to...nothing! There's no outlet by the head of the bed so they were decoration only. Frustrating with small children who like the lamp on for story time. We moved the lamp by the TV and plugged in...not a big deal but again a standard cheaper hotel would have working lamps ready to go. A great stay but would be more worth the money if the details were worked out. And give me more than one trash bag!
