Marriot Metropolitan Hotel

Distance from the airport was quite short, about 5 minutes . Hotel offers free pick up from the airport. Even though my flight was delayed, the driver stayed and waited till I arrived.

I liked everything about the hotel

Room was very nice. Hotel is located about 5 minutes from the airport and a few minutes from Douala Grand Mall. Staff were friendly in general and Angela was very helpful. Most staff speak both English and French.

There is no separation between the Toilet and Bathroom, but that's a minor issue.

Thanks for the pick-up service from the airport. I had a very spacious and clean room.

The breakfast could be better.

Breakfast was poorly served.

There was no hot water for the shower, so I was asked to go to another room to take a shower. The power went off while I was taking it, making it a horrible experience.

The shower water teater was in the shower with a power point which was very dangerous. The tv only had 2 channels nothing else worked. There was no fridge in the room or tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was limited to only an omlette every day no other choices. The omlettes were tasty but they ran out of butter/margarine after Day 2 were not too concerned about fixing problem. No real milk for coffee or tea only powder which never seemed to completely disolve. The staff were lovely and did the best they could with what management gave them

Clean beautiful and cosy room

hotel with high prices but poor services and quality. so it's a no! no wifi. no possibility to pay with card. they changed our restaurant menu bill with different prices. late shuttle. room ok but no hot water. expired welcome chocolate.soaps already opened. slow and annoyed staff with every question. It seems like I'm disturbing them but in reality they are at work! We are very disappointed also considering the high price of the hotel
