Villa Athina Finiki

Ahhh what a beautiful place. I would stay forever if I could! The villa is beautiful, clean, tidy & has everything you could possibly need. We felt very lucky to stay here. It is close by to local restaurants & the harbour, it is walking distance my partner & son walked many times, & of a evening we got a taxi for €10. The lady & gentleman who man the grounds are lovely people, super kind & helpful! They couldn’t do enough to accommodate everything we needed, including our last day we had a late flight & they arranged for us to stay at another villa on site free of charge! There’s a little cute dog that lives around she’s super friendly & my children enjoyed playing with her. Over all was a fantastic holiday one of the best we’ve had, & we will 100% return!

Location is a little off the beaten track but not a problem if you hire a car, great driveway and plenty of parking space. Only a 10 min uphill walk from Latchi beach front which is not a problem during the day but a dark walk along the road at night. Can't really fault the villa, immaculately clean, pool cleaned very early every morning and staff very attentive but at the same time never intrusive. Amazing large pool which was well used and enjoyed - maybe needs less chlorine though - we had to remove the "chlorine duck" when it started turning all our swimwear yellow. Amazing stay, beautiful gardens, so much fruit growing in the gardens and along the road outside the villa. We picked fresh avocados for breakfast, pomegranates for our evening BBQ's, limes from the garden for marinades and drinks!! Great WIFI.

Being October and the weather a little more unpredictable a smart tv would be a great upgrade for cooler evenings in an amazing villa. Channels were very limited but if had smart tv could have logged in to my own streaming accounts as the WIFI is excellent and is more than capable of streaming. Also BBQ interior where the coals are added needs to be replaced as it has rusted through and made it difficult to enjoy cooking and eating in the beautifully lit gardens in the evenings.

Location is great and close to Polis and Latsi. Location very close to a few good beaches and the restaurants were of great quality.

The bed is extremely uncomfortable, especially for 13 nights. It's the thinest mattress we've ever slept on and we believe that for what we paid we should have had a decent bed.

Setting and location fabulous, 15 mins walk from Latchi beach and with sea views from many points on the vast grounds. Fruit trees growing everywhere in the mature and well looked after gardens.. Massive pool spotlessly clean, whole property spotlessly clean! The caretakers brought fruit from the garden and told us to pick whatever we fancied. Kitchen had every tool and gadget.

The beds were very creaky, mattresses worn out, uncomfortable, and should be upgraded urgently. The master bedroom with the only double bed was especially squeaky - every movement made a loud noise. For the price I would expect the beds to be decent.
