In hindsight we would have liked more sitting space in the room. Or the common living room to have had more ‘lounge’ type furniture with an open fire (or fake for ambience) to encourage people to use it. In our room (4) small bathroom

Just a two night stay here in May. Staff very friendly and happy to help. Breakfast was lovely as per comments on people's previous description. We stayed in room 11 - furniture bit dated but everything in there that we could want and comfortable, clean and quiet. But as everyone has mentioned - the big plus is parking. This time of year the traffic is not too bad but even so it could ruin a holiday if you have to spend ages going round and round looking for a space and hoping there won't be a ticket on the screen. Once parked we went walking most days so we did not need to move the car and that could have been a bit of a problem in busy times I think. We would definitely book again - everything was made simple and straight forward and a very reasonable price.

The breakfast was very well prepared and the staff were very attentive and friendly.

Kept awake for each of the 5 nights of our stay by a dripping noise which got faster and louder when another room used the water ( I have the recordings of this if there is any doubt). The shower was temperamental and I was scolded by hot water on one occasion which is dangerous. The toilet seat was the wrong size for the toilet and so would not stay up which was extremely inconvenient as I have a stoma and this made emptying my bag very difficult. The window blinds were a nightmare and had to be fixed by a staff member. The bed was not a double but 2 singles zipped together which made sleeping even more uncomfortable on top of the dripping noise. The room was dusty when we arrived. The window was dirty and the soap dish in the shower was filthy. Upon reporting the dripping noise AFTER OUR FIRST NIGHT WE WERE TOLD THAT A PLUMBER WOULD BE COMING TO INVESTIGATE IN 2 DAYS AND DIDN'T ACTUALLY COME TILL THE 4TH DAY OF OUR STAY! AND EVEN THEN THE MANAGER JOANNE TOLD US THAT HE FOUND NOTHING WRONG? I HAVE THE VIDEO!!! We asked for a partial refund but this was refused. The staff did however leave a bottle of prosecco in our room and a card to apologise but I am intolerant to prosecco and when I mentioned this Joanne said I had not mentioned my intolerance to prosecco upon arrival but WHY ON EARTH WOULD I RANDOMLY SAY THIS UPON ARRIVAL? Certainly will not be returning to an establishment where the management are extremely dismissive of customer concerns.

Very comfortable room. Nice view. Good breakfast options. Friendly staff.
