Hotel Pez de Oro

The staff at Pez de oro is wonderful. We’ve been coming for 15 years and are very fond of Pez de oro. The hotel is on the ocean, very clean although small pools. Good Italian food. The staff is always willing to help make your stay to the best of their ability.

No A.C. They lent us a second fan which helped, but the rooms need a regular ceiling fan not a floor fan. The rooms need updating and floor in bathrooms is always damp . WiFi only in dining room.

The swimming pool was super clean with plenty of chairs and shade to chill if that's your thing. The hotel is right on the beach so bed to sea in less than a minute. Close enough to the town for anything that you need including some decent ice cream outlets which are a must in between rum and beer. The room was clean and spacious with a good size bathroom. A good alternative to El Pardon if you want to drop out of the scene for a bit. It is super quiet so great for some rest.I have seen negative reviews about the restaurant prices and would like to make a few points. We ate at several places in town and also at the hotel during our stop here. Whilst the food in town was cheaper the portion sizes,quality and surroundings at the hotel restaurant are far superior ,so as always,you get what you pay for and certainly not something to moan about unnecessarily.

Breakfast could have been better, I had the cheese and ham omelette, but it was made of processed square cheese and a “Spam” like ham

Staff were very nice. We were there mid week in the off season. They let us pick which bungalow we wanted. They also had the pool filled up and ready for our arrival. Great beachfront location.

Bed a little firm. Lighting a little dim. Otherwise good.

The location was an excellent stay. It is a quiet, beachfront property with many trees providing a plenty of shade and an easy, beachside walk to the town. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Can't think of anything. I really enjoyed my stay.

We stayed at Pez Oro for several nights. The location was marvelous - right on the beach. The staff were charming. The food was good but a little high in price. But we can highly recommend this place.

The property was lovely, very clean, perfect location that was quiet but close enough to town. The staff were very friendly and helpful to me. The manager Sandra, especially. She is excellent at speaking slowly and clearly for those like me whose Spanish is not the best! The pools, tho small, were clean and refreshing.

As others have said, the restaurant is nothing special and a little overpriced. It would be nice to have breakfast included, as many places do. Beware, the cabins are hot to sleep in at night! And very dim- only one lightbulb on the ceiling, and it was turned toward the empty wall! I didn’t need the mosquito net, luckily, b/c when I pulled it down it had an unpleasant smell.
