"Good location, comfortable beds, Sufficient"

6.0

We stayed at the Amazing 2 Bedrooms Condo at Ballston for a week for a family trip. It was a bit spendy but we went with the apartment instead of a hotel so that we would have cooking facilities and 2 bathrooms. There are pros and cons to this facility. Pros - 1) The location is excellent, just a couple blocks off the metro and we took the metro everywhere. 2) The bed and sheets were very comfortable. 3) There was a 24x7 line to call for assistance. 4) There were 2 desks for kids to do homework. 5) Simple wipeable funiture and extra blankets. 6) 2 Bathrooms Cons - 1) I didn't notice until after how much was added to the price of our stay beyond the price listed on Hotels. There was almost $300 in taxes and a $155 resort fee that I don't recall was disclosed on the listing until you book. 2) The second bedroom flooded while we were there so we had to allow maintenance to come into the facility and the carpet was all wet there. 3) We had no washcloths, no kitchen towels, and no hotpads. 4) Supplies were limited for a week-long stay. 3 diswasher pods, 2 paper towels, and 2 Toilet paper rolls for each bathroom for the entire week and there were 4 females in our group. 5) Cabinet fronts could use a good wipe down, but other surfaces clean. 6) No pizza cutter (seems like pizza is a pretty common thing to need in an apt. 7) Spatula was all melted at the bottom and pans were pretty scraped up so hard to cook eggs with these.

"Very nice clean apartment "

10.0

Very nice clean apartment in a safe neighborhood, close to the metro. Only a few little issues the Internet didn't work, there were no measuring cups, and there was not enough toilet paper for the whole week that we stayed there.

"So-so Stay"

6.0

So-so stay at this condo. It started when we booked the room through Hotels.com. The "We host" portal wanted us to upload our drivers licenses after the reservation was confirmed... but we didn't feel comfortable with that so i uploaded a business card. The location and size of the unit were the best part. It was very close to 2 metro stops, and the 2 bedrooms and 2 baths were convenient for our family. When we arrived at the unit, it was very musty inside. There was a dehumidifier in the living area, and at least 3 other fans in the unit. Immediately told me there might be an AC problem. They obviously need to consult an HVAC technician. The primary bedroom and bath were very warm, while the 2nd bedroom was fairly comfortable... when thermostat was set at 70. In addition to the warm, stuffy primary bed/bath, the cheap blinds in the window failed to block any light in the morning so if you like a darker room, you are going to have to rig up some sort of light blocking material. There is cracked caulking in primary bath, broken toilet seat lid in guest bath, sink stopper in master bath tub not working properly... just feels like they are doing the bare minimum to keep it "rentable". Unit has potential, but must address issues asap to justify the cost.
