Place at the end of the road, surrounded by nature, peace and beautifuly designed house and rooms. You will be taken care off like you are their family. The best good night sleep I have ever have outside of my home. If you are thinking to go, stop thinking and just do it, its definitely worth it! 🪷

A « lost in time » place. We loved the feeling of being nearly alone in the lagoon. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the hosts are extremely nice.

A lovely location. So much potential for this property! The room was very comfortable. Lots of effort has been put into explaining about the art and design concept, if you are interested in that sort of thing. It seems the hosts have thought of everything, and it's important to them that you get the perfect experience. Beautiful views onto the waterfront, boathouse and pier, and an extremely peaceful stay. Lovely walks in and around the estuary and farmland. Perfect location to visit Sao Jacinto the next day. The recommended restaurant was great - very typical, local and extremely popular! We were not big fans of Furadouro itself, as it was a bit of a resort-town, and polar opposite from the quiet, rural feeling at Tijosa.

One minor thing. No need to set the expectation that taxis would be available. It's a rural location and totally normal that there might not be taxis, better to say that upfront (would have suited us fine!). As it was, we waited an hour for an answer, to know if we could have a drink or not, and then the cost was 80euro for 8km, so we drove after all.

The owners, Fernando and Paula, were just wonderful. You could see the thought put into every small detail, from the ceramic coffee and tea mugs, to the room decor, to the calming music during breakfast. Breakfast was simple, with quality ingredients, and delicious. The bed was exceptional. They even have a pillow menu! Overall, an exceptional place to relax and rest, with easy access to Aviedro and Porto.
