Oliva Welcoming Apartments

The location is excellent Free parking and an electric charger for cars. The staff is lovely, and the breakfast is good. The rooms have brand-new furniture with a pleasing aesthetic.

While it’s not a dealbreaker for me, the absence of elevators to access the rooms from the entrance could pose challenges for individuals with reduced mobility during their stay.

The rooms are not obviously described as shared living space, you basically have a room in an apartment that you share with 2 other rooms, when we arrived the living area was occupied by a family feeding their baby, there was a lot of screaming but luckily through the night we didn’t hear them again. The room we stayed in was very small, there was no where to put the suitcase without it blocking access to the bed and we couldn’t use the wardrobes as the doors wouldn’t open fully because they were too close to the bed. There was a trim on the step into the bathroom which wasn’t fixed and came off immediately, this left the sharp tile edge exposed and dangerous. There are stray cats and dogs around, so one morning around 6am two stray cats were screaming for around half an hour.

The apartments were well furnished and clean. Our room also had a balcony which was a nice addition. We wanted to point out we were a bit surprised to learn that each room is in fact located in the apartment, hence the kitchen and living room are common areas the guest who are staying in these separate rooms share. Perhaps we have not read the description of the property thoroughly to understand that this is the concept of this facility. In any case this was not exactly a minus for us, just a circumstance which were not aware of when booking our stay. We were lucky enough the guests in other rooms were considerate and thus we did not have a feeling we are sharing the apartment with someone. However, this can be a minus in case the other guests are loud etc., so just something to be aware of when booking your stay.

The kitchen in our apartment needs some upkeeping (one drawer was broken and almost fell out when we pulled it out).
