Host & Stay - Hall Garth

It was a very cosy three bedroom house, well equipped and beautiful interiors. It’s Ideal for a families with small children. The kitchen was my favourite part. The location was good in the village of Pickering with shops nearby And within easy driving distance to whitby.

There was nothing not to like.

A beautifully remodelled house, nicely furnished. Excellent location close to the centre of Pickering. Parking usually available outside or nearby.

Kitchen somewhat compromised by an over-sized oven protruding into the middle of the room, making it difficult to navigate around a large table. Only 2 extremely heavy chairs provided, and 2 plain benches, for seating. Garden rather overgrown with weeds.

Peace, space and easy access to town and railway. High quality furnishings throughout. Beautifully fitted bathrooms. House was very clean.Pleasant garden with table for outdoor dining.

Awkward arrangement of oven in fitted kitchen compromised seating arrangement at table. Inconsistent and confused communication from management company Host and Stay from the time of booking.

Location was absolutely superb, in a quiet part of town, just off the main street through Pickering and close to everything you need on a break. The character of the house really made a difference to the stay and adds a dimension to a holiday in my opinion.

The floorboards upstairs were particularly noisy and could do with repair or replacement.

Property was covered in cobwebs, dust, floorboards need replaced, very noisy, beds very uncomfortable. Bedding stained. Covered in cat hairs. When we arrived it hadn’t been cleaned, management company were not very helpful.
