Guiana Hostel

Clean, modern albergue with excellent facilities. I stayed in female only dorm room with 8 bunks and good shower / toilet facilities. Large on site dedicated laundry. Kitchen facilities available. Excellent breakfast this was extra). Games room downstairs.

Unfortunately the night I was there there a large, loud group dominating the dining room kitchen area for hours. This was an intrusion on other people who may have wanted to share the facilities. Of course this was not the fault of the albergue but it spoilt it for me.

We arrived 11h40 at night from Madrid, and our host waited up for us. The Albergue is one of the best on the Camino in my experience and we have done 7.

All was perfect. The breakfast was also very good.

Such a great experience for our first night beginning the Camino. The receptionist greeted us kindly. We received our first Camino stamp here. The kitchen and pilgrim breakfast were fantastic! Our room was nice and quiet.

Everything was wonderful. wouldn't change a thing.

Great location for visiting Ponferrada, very close to the castle. The staff at reception were very helpful and friendly and the man handling the breakfast early in the morning, got me a taxi in minutes. Great service. Lift in the building is a bonus. Room and bathroom facilities good

Le fait de ne pas régler la clim' ... c'est une étuve la nuit ! La douche et toilette dans le dortoir ... c'est pas top !!! Bruyant (cf porte de douche) et odeur de toilettes (pas top !) Le fait de devoir libérer tôt la chambre ... tout le monde ne fait pas le camino ! Et dormir un peu plus quand des pèlerins sont pas discrets le matin, ça permettrait de récupérer un peu après leur départ !
