Abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema dovuto ad una disattenzione delle cameriere e lo staff ha provato a risolvere in maniera un po’ goffa ma con tanto impegno!

Guest house is located in a perfect place. Service was excellent, facilities clean, with security and in a beautiful neighborhood. Highly recommend it to everyone. Stay also included a lovely continental breakfast and Lilly, did a beautiful job taking care of us. Will be coming back.

I recently stayed at Roso Guest House and originally rated it just one star. Upon reflection, I’m updating it to three — solely due to the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, who truly tried their best. However, for a property claiming luxury status and Forbes-level credibility — and one associated with a major brand like Hilton — this place is shockingly casual and inconsistent. This is a textbook example of Instagram over comfort. If your priority is aesthetics, this place delivers. But if you’re paying for true luxury, elevated service, and comfort — you may leave disappointed. We were welcomed with a gift and handwritten card…addressed to someone else. A small detail, but it immediately made us feel like an afterthought. When we asked for basic items like extra hangers and pillows, we were told they weren’t available until the next day. Not being able to provide something as fundamental as an extra pillow is baffling. How does a hotel that bills itself as luxury fail to deliver on the most basic function of hospitality — providing a comfortable place to rest your head? The staff — not even the doormen — could give us accurate directions to nearby, well-known spots like Rosetta Bakery or the local arts and crafts market. One even sent us the wrong way. In a city like CDMX where safety and confidence in your surroundings matter, this lack of local knowledge is a red flag for any luxury property. The hotel offers a car service, which we used — assuming it was part of the hotel’s secure offerings. However, staff casually referred to them as “taxis,” and at no point were we informed that gratuity wasn’t included. We were embarrassed when we realized this too late — a simple communication issue that could have been easily avoided. Our room? Instagrammable, yes — but not without issues. The French doors to our balcony were broken and weren’t repaired until the following evening. With only five nights in CDMX, that one bad night was 20% of our entire stay — a significant loss when you’re investing in a luxury experience. Worse yet, the room was infested with mosquitos, so even once the doors were fixed, we couldn’t enjoy the fresh air without a swarm. Housekeeping was another source of interesting service. The staff attempts to unpack and organize your belongings — a lovely gesture in theory — but they did it differently every day. Finding my items turned into a daily scavenger hunt. Essentials like toilet paper, towels, and Kleenex were never adequately stocked. Yes, they would bring them if we asked — but why should we have to ask? The marble shower had great water pressure, but no bath mats were provided, making it dangerously slippery. We used one of our only two towels as a floor mat and had to constantly request replacements. Lastly — and most disappointingly — the king bed was brutally hard and uncomfortable, making restful sleep difficult. Now, for the positives: • The location is excellent. • The staff is warm, well-meaning, and responsive via 24/7 text. • The food is delicious and well-prepared. • The house dog is adorable and adds charm. • The shampoo and conditioner were so good I bought some to take home. So here’s the honest summary: Roso Guest House is hip, photogenic, and charming. But it is not luxury. It’s more aligned with a trendy boutique B&B or an Airbnb — not a Forbes-worthy establishment. If you’re looking for upscale comfort, high-touch service, and polished attention to detail, there are better options in CDMX. Would I stay again? Maybe — but only if I couldn’t find availability elsewhere at a true luxury standard.

The location is perfect. Easy walk to interesting stores and fabulous restaurants. Always felt safe.

The stairway is metal, it can be a bit noisy. Really not an issue.
