Location was good for the Ijen vulcano trip. It was located off the main street, but had plenty of good restaurants and coffee around. The room was spacious, good airconditioning.

Cold shower, no sink and no closets or tables.

the room was upgraded because unlike one of the reviews saying this room has hot water it didn't - they have us a different room with a boiler but the boiler was broken and took ages to fix late at night. they did give us a bucket of hot water in the end so we could shower. the hosts are very nice and welcoming, they try help as much as they can and gave us a later check out time as our train was very late that day there's free water refills which is handy can book the ijen tour through them but be aware that the blue flame hasn't been visible since it reopened but noone tells you this

see comments on hot water, its liekly you will not have boiler. there are a lot of ants/ bug ants that go on floor and fall from ceiling. nowhere to hang towels limited English from hosts but they're very nice

This Homestay is one of the best we’ve stayed in during 12 months of travel!! The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and warm always offering to help, smiling and such excellent customer service! They really made us feel very welcome and were so considerate - always around to help us and respond to what’s app. The room is beautiful! Comfortable big bed, good air conditioning, smart tv you can connect to for Netflix or Amazon, bathroom has hot shower (ask directly for this room) - sink, mirror and lots of space! The area is a beautiful quiet area with lots of restaurants around and grab to order food. There is also laundry within walking distance! Free drinking water and nice seating areas outside as well. We loved this Homestay so much we are booking to come back again in September! The service and room was worth far more than we paid - so grateful we found this Homestay! 10/10!! Thank you to all of the lovely friendly staff, you made our stay perfect!!! See you again soon! 😁😁

The people who worked at Calliandra were so friendly en did everything to help us. They gave us a free room upgrade, and organised the Ijen tour for a fair price. The room was really clean, there was a nice tv that you can connect with your smartphone.

quiet location, nice people, close to local cafes, great view. The price was really good for the location and size of room. I would stay there again for sure. They can help you with a motorbike rental, ijen moutain tour or boat ticket. ANything!

dont need to put strong smelling chemical odorizers in bathroom Just keep it natural :) better for breathing. But it was okay, I just removed the urinal odorizers and it was fine. not hot water but its ok!
