Lovely placem, unfortunately tainted by a bad experience. *Continued on from what we didn't like* Sara kept repeating 'this has never been a problem before', but we're guessing other guests arrived earlier in the day, and may have been met by the hosts brother who could show them the specific way to open the door. Either way, this is a business, and she should have accepted that with any business, it is not all profit, but there will be issues you have to deal with. She did not, but refused to accept it, and tried to make out we were idiots who could not open a door. I have travelled extensively (we all have) and dealt with many types of locks. None of us are weak or stupid but this was the impression she seemed to have of us, placing all the blame on us. I have never had such a bad experience travelling, and thus, despite the place being lovely to stay in, I could not recommend it. The host had no sympathy and therefore I have no respect for her, as she showed us none, and no compassion. So disappointing. We had to accept only one nights refund (which I doubt she would have offered if I did not ask for it), though I believe something extra should have been given. We were afraid of being kicked out with nowhere to stay, and thus we were vulnerable. I wouldn't have been surprised if this would have been the case due to her unprofessional manner.

We had a horrible experience. Arrived late at night due to a late flight. We had told the hosts in advance this would be the case. Couldn't access the accomodation as the door had a knack that we couldn't figure out, despite trying for about an hour, and attempting to contact the host (there was no answer). We had to find accomodation elsewhere in the middle of the night, as we were vulnerable (3 young girls, obvious tourists with our bags, with nowhere to stay overnight), and had to ring at least 20+ hotels before finding anywhere to stay so last minute. When we contacted the host the next morning, there was no answer (I had also left a message overnight), but got a call from the host AFTER I contacted booking.com. This was about 11am, so late considering our issue. My main issue was that this was a safety issue, and it wasn't taken seriously by the host. She asked us why we didn't call her (we did, multiple times), and asked why we didn't call her 2nd number (no 2nd number was provided!). I heard laughing when I told her how serious it was that we couldn't get into the apartment in the middle of the night, and we could have been elderly, or vulnerable in any way. Sara (the host) refused to listen to me. There was no compensation, only one night refunded (when we couldn't actually stay in the place), and we had to pay over 200euro to stay elsewhere. No considerdation for all we had gone through or how it had delayed and tainted our holiday. Sara was completely unprofessional in her communication- not listening to me properly no the phone, being extremely defensive, never apologising, having other people listen into our phonecall (who laughed), unsympathetic. She accepted no responsibility for what happened. The following day her brother came to open the door for us, and we saw him struggle initially, due to there being a knack.
