Vallettastay - Zoe

We arrived early and the host was very accommodating in allowing us to leave our bags, even though the room wasn’t ready. Also, the bag storage at the local hotel was very much appreciated as we had a late flight home.

The locks on the balcony windows were really flimsy. It was very windy during the night when we were there and the rattling windows kept us awake. However, if it hadn’t been windy, we’d never have noticed so maybe we were just unlucky.

The kitchen is very well equipped and spacious (huge fridge and washing machine). Ideal for those who want to cook. Very beautiful and cozy indirect lighting, beautiful ceilings and floor.

The place was very clean, spacious & just right. We LOVED the balcony!

The room is spacious, it can accommodate 4 people in comfort. It has a very good wifi connection. Immediate response and very good communication prior to the arrival. Very easy self check in, clear instructions.

The mattress need to be changed it was not so comfortable and you can hear the springs in every move

Great apartment - spacious, well designed and laid out, quiet, fantastic location. Looks better than the pictures show. Would definitely stay again.

No lightbulb in toilet which is ok during the day as it has a window, no lights in the main entrance at ground floor level to the lift and on stairwell - no windows in these areas so pitch black at all times, used phone torch but not ideal especially if it’s an emergency escape route!

Overall stay was really nice! Close to everything. Folder with information was clear. Quiet at night (after the fireworks ;)). Nice Maltese balcony. A/C worked fine. Bottle of water in the fridge upon arrival. Very spacious. Elevator. Shower worked fine.

It has been mentioned in other reviews but the mattress of the bed was quite uncomfortable. Very few cups, plates etc. in the kitchen. Odd noise after using water but was very brief so no real issue. Separating waste was a bit difficult since not all trash bags were provided. Sofa had spots of dirt.

The location was great, right in the middle of the historical town. You can easily walk to all the tourist attractions within Valletta. There is a lift!! Love the layout of the apartment. They’ve managed to modernise the interior and keep the traditional stonewall. The host was super helpful, their main hotel was close so they responded to our requests instantly. They let us leave our luggage their for free on our last day!!

The water pressure was too strong for us especially if you want hot water. Although the bedding covers were clean we could see that the actual duvets were not.
