Ocean front view, possibility to order food at the place if pay by cash. At least a bed and a ventilator in the room. Very small theoretical breakfast.

Hard to get by taxi, very steep stony road for 5000 IRP fee/bribe from a local. A channel going to the ocean just under this hostel - full of garbage, the tide adds more. 3 bathrooms always wet, with caterpillars. Homeless dogs in eating area. Nobody cleaned the room. Bad smell. I ordered "Tom Yam soup" and asked "not spicy" - was not possible to eat, so overspiced. CASH only. No AC, no mosquito net on the windows. Electro plugs are falling apart - promised to repair- no reaction. At night ELECTRICITY and WIFI disappeared!! All next day WIFI DID NOT WORK. At 21.00 or earlier nobody at the reception. SURF beach has NO MEDICAL POINT, NO RESCUE, very poor conditions and NO SAFETY. All beach is a totally rocky land. Always saw them bleeding going out of water. Almost impossible to swim either.

Directly on the beach is what we were after. Very very basic accommodation with friendly staff. An interesting experience. Included breakfast was 2 pieces fried bread & coffee/tea. Could purchase from menu more options if desired. Cold shower but that was not a bad thing. Great for mad keen surfies with not much $ to stay where the surf is excellent. Access for taxi difficult, prepare to walk uphill with luggage to meet outside boom gate.

Fan only but that was expected. Bathroom facilities were downstairs only but were clean although toilet didn’t flush on one occasion had to lift lid and fill cistern. Vicious hungry monkey hanging around.

The location is amazing, right on the beach

There was nothing not to love. Though bring some cash, because in the places on the beach usually you can’t pay by card.

Rooms smelled like mold, choice between no windows or no bathroom. Location right at the beach is top but only do this if you're not planning to spend ANY time in your room. Not like advertised

The beachfront location is perfect for rolling out of bed into the waves. Good cheap warungs up and down the beach. Bintangs are crispy cold for sunset. Room is okay, beds are comfy but has no AC and the rooms can get very very hot in the afternoon sun

The cleanliness of the bathrooms was not great and smelled awful, especially when shared between homestay guests and restaurant guests. I stayed here 6 years ago and the standard was much higher, was quite disappointing to come back.

Amazing location!

Unfortunately the bathrooms were quite dirty. Also very far away from bedrooms. Bed was fine but the fam did not work so it was very hot
