João Jungle

Joao Jungle has a beautifully relaxed vibe and the host Johanna makes you feel incredibly welcome and has great local recommendations as well as helping us with booking surf lessons! The location is a 15-20 minute drive from Ericeira which has a chilled vibe and some lovely spots to eat. It’s also a short drive to numerous amazing beaches. We were travelling with an 8 month old baby and we had everything we needed and more, including toys, baby bath, high chair and cot - it was the perfect home away from home. This is definitely the sort of place that makes you wish you could stay just a little bit longer!

Johanna welcomed us with open arms. The apartment was clean and really comfortable. We had our own outdoor space, plus the swimming pool, tennis & basketball court to share with other guests. Really quiet spot far enough away but within reach of Sintra & the surrounding area. Cannot recommend highly enough!

it is like a small oasis. Very well designed with lots of small displays that made the place very homely. The pool looked lovely, but it was a little too cold for us to use it. The dog was made welcome. The property is only a couple of kilometres from an amazing beach which surfers flock to. Ronny the owner of the property is vey easy going and so is his wife, Johanna, whom we saw briefly.

As always in Portugal there are a lot of properties with dogs living outside, this means that any walk means lots of barking from everywhere. Not nice. It is also a bit remote so you have to travel to restaurants etc.

We had an amazing stay in the ocean drive romantic cottage. We really like hiking, and went for long walks over the cliffs. Fantastic views! Lot's of nearby beaches too. The cottage was so lovely, and it was wonderful to just stay and chill by the pool in the garden. Our hosts Johanna and Ronny were so kind and friendly, and we had a lovely stay with them. Me and my fiance actually got engaged during our stay, in the beautiful cottage. And we celebrated in the evening with our hosts and the other guests. We will definetly come back!
