Ocean Park B&B

It's worth the money.

Super super thin walls. Squeaky beds. Squeaky floors. 1 shared bath. Kitchen not stocked with any paper towels, bathroom had no tissue/kleenex either. No hand towels. We were told the door would be unlocked upon our arrival, but it was locked. Rang doorbell 3 times, no answer, had to call the phone number and someone came down that we had just woken up to let us in. Just felt odd having to tip-toe around and be dead-silent. We could hear EVERYTHING, other people snoring, getting up to use the bathroom, etc. It was way too intimate for our liking. Property and backyard was beautiful, nice house, but, just not to our liking for a place to stay.

Difficult to find place, did not have google & the house is in a maze of circles

I could not access bedroom !!! Door had a finicky lock 🔐 I called home owner & no response. I sat in couch outside room!! Place is NOT up to standards. Shared soap & unclean bathroom. Bed linen didn’t look clean and inviting.

Nice room, good location.

The host was prompt in communication and everything I needed was available at the property. He gave me a room away from the other tenants and one of the family bathrooms, which was nice and clean- much appreciated. Upon arriving, I noticed that the bedding was not very clean, but upon informing the host, he replaced all the bedding with a clean one. I needed to take a quick nap before going to my evening activities and found that the place was quite noisy during the afternoon with voices, footsteps, loud doors. I did however have a very comfortable, quiet, and good night’s sleep! The host gave me keys so it was nice to be able to come and go whenever without needing someone to unlock the door.

The location is great. I was in the area for work so only got down to the beaches and trails a few times. Cresent Beach, Blackie Spit, the Heritage Farm and Marina. There is a shopping district nearby with a grocery store and stuff. It was very basic, which I appreciate as I am not there to sit in my room all day. The bathrooms were super clean! The family work very hard to clean the place. The house has a wall of trees in the back and my window faced the trees. Very quiet area.

There could be a few more amenities. There was only one medium sized towel in my room. I hadn't thought to bring towels. The kitchen has very limited cutlery, like only one spoon for the communal kitchen. There were a lot of people staying at Ocean Park B&B! It became a problem when somebody cooked dinner, didn't clean up after themselves and left the dishes in the sink all night. This isn't the B&B fault, but a few more spoons please!

Bathroom is very dirty

Owner was asking for more charges while was booked and agreed on the prices. Noisy neighbors at the middle of night 1 am to 4 am. Having strong fetid and bad smell in the aisle
