CHA very nice, unusual place to stay. The large, well furnished and very clean apartment (but one room is small and without windows) is really in the middle of an animal park. We were even guided in detail by an employee through all the enclosures. Many animals can be petted, especially the pigs enjoy it very much. Especially our younger son was thrilled. The hostess, who cares for the animals with heart and soul, was very nice, even surprised us with a small gift. Anyone who likes animals should stay there. The Parrot is a little remote, but still central to many attractions in the area.
Maybe you should change the name, because it is not really a hotel, but a very nice apartment.

BEWe believe that young kids would really enjoy themselves here! We particularly liked the turkeys, which greeted us every time we walked past them. Also fond of the beautiful peacocks roaming around free, sometimes even on the roof, next to our window. And a very cuddly cat stole our hearts. Also fascinating to see large colourful parrots fly around freely. There are so many more animals to see: 12 intriguing polar foxes in an enclosure, pigs, hens, owls, donkeys, alpacas and very energetic dogs. The bedrooms are somewhat tight, because of the pitch of the roof, but you have adequate space in the kitchen/living area. The host was very responsive, despite being extremely busy. She carries a lot of responsibility for the well being of the animals - running the animal rescue park all by herself. Admirable! She put flowers from her garden on the kitchen table and gifted us some fresh eggs and home-made jam. We appreciate this personal touch very much.
Light sleepers be aware that the animals do make some noises (i.e. dog barking, parrots shrieking, etc.) The apartment itself is clean, but the grounds around are somewhat unkempt. Lots of weeds, etc.

SEAn amazing place. With peacocks outside our door and parrots over our heads. The hostess was very welcoming and all the animals were the best! Big and clean apartment in the countryside.
This is not a fancy hotel but if you are like us and prefer a genuine country experience this is the place to visit.

PLEverything was great. Hostess is super nice and helpfull. You can enjoy a little time with animals from rescue shelter, like snow foxes, alpacas, donkeys and parrots. It was great we could wash and dry our bicycle clothes as we arrived at the The Parrot Hotel on our bicycle tour from Berlin to Copenhagen.
