Red Lotus Inn

Love the attention to detail with the cute furniture. Feels more like home than any other hotel or motel.

The room was clean but the building is very run down. They required a $40.00 cash deposit when checking in. I tried paying the deposit with a credit card and they wanted $5.00 for that so I paid the cash. The mattress was covered with heavy plastic that crunched every time I moved and made me sweat all night. The young man at the desk was very pleasant but I would not stay there again.

Polite receptionist, explain everything and was very thorough.

I honestly can't really think of anything. It was a very weird atmosphere and i felt uncomfortable during my stay. I have nothing positive to say unfortunately.

Wasn't a sign on the building that said it was the Red Lotus Inn, when you go to the tiny window to speak to someone, i felt uneasy with the cameras and all the handwritten signs about what's not allowed and so many questions about if i was alone, bringing friends, pets after i told them repeatedly that i was alone, it was just me. There was a very musty smell in the room. The blanket and sheets and towels/rags all seemed like they were from the 70's and 80's. The inside of the room was very strange. I couldn't figure a way to get more warmth in the room. No thermostat or anything. The TV needs to be replaced and it had spots burned into the screen, making it weird to try and watch TV. I kept on hearing weird noises thru the night and morning. No extra plugins to use for my convenience. All around, it was just a VERY strange experience and don't plan to return there again.
