Osborne Apartments

The reception team were very professional and friendly.

Très bon accueil. Chambre propre et bien aménagée avec une cuisine très bien équipée ( il y a même un four et machine à laver). Chambre au calme. Pour l'emplacement pas loin de la mer et proche des bus qui emmènent à Hastings et à Brighton. Je me 10 ce qui est rare pour un Français.

Good facilities, warm, very high ceiling with big window, full functional kitchen with 4 ring hob, toaster, kettle and I like it a lot, staff responded quickly, recommend and may return.

Great property, comfortable and quiet. The apartment had a fully-equipped kitchen, which would have been useful for a longer stay. Very clean bathroom, although it's BYO bodywash. We were able to leave our bags so we could start out day early. Staff were great, very polite and kind. The location is about a 15min walk from the centre of town, but only five minutes from the seafront so it's a nice walk. Would have been an excellent location for the Seven Sisters walk, but unfortunately the weather didn't allow for it. Highly recommend Trattoria Anema e Core for dinner, and Bibendum Sunday roast - you won't regret either!

The apartments are in a good,quiet,area, but only about 5 minutes from the seafront and 10 to the main town. The hotel is formed of a terrace of elegant victorian houses. The receptionist was friendly and I had help to get the suitcases to the room, he was a nice helpful chap as were the other staff we saw. (cleaning). The room was deluxe: double bed, separate kitchen and bathroom with bay windows and on the raised ground floor. We both have back pain but the bed was very comfortable; no issues. The linen was white Egyptian cotton and the pillows were good. Very clean. The sofa was clean and comfortable in a fabric cover which we prefer to leather/vinyl. Most of the time, we were able to stream films from Netflix, Sat night a bit sketchy. The kitchen was very clean but as others have said a bit basic as regards equipment. I usually do take some kitchen knives to rented apartments, most people do. I needed them. Saying that, there were 3 frying pans. A salad bowl would have been nice, though the large soup bowls served the purpose. There was a washer drier as well as a 3/4 size cooker, microwave, cute fridge freezer, tea towels, detergent and dish sponge. kettle, toaster. The bathroom was big enough and very clean, the shower worked very well and there was plenty of hot water at all times. Great mirrors both sides of the cupboard door. There was a good sized wardrobe outside and a full length mirror. Had 4 nights for under £400 and we were very happy with it. late August.

We stayed at Osborne Apartments in a “deluxe” room for a family of 4 in August. On first glance, the room looked okay – we quickly dropped our luggage and went out. On closer inspection on our return it became clear that the floor was filthy. My wife and I had to clean ourselves for an hour and it was still not clean. This made for an extremely unpleasant stay overnight as we did not want to even walk on that floor. Things got even worse when a leak developed in the ceiling on the main central section of the apartment. Water dripped onto my head and we had to put towels down on the floor to absorb the water. This was obviously a hazard we had to avoid/deal with in the night and not safe for my young family when we needed to use the bathroom etc. As soon as we woke up I strongly complained about the FILTHY FLOOR AND LEAKING CEILING to the staff, demanding a refund. They made very poor excuses about the floor cleanliness, and also stated the leak had never ever happened before – which was a TOTAL LIE as I have photos of multiple watermarks indicating previous leakages. They offered us a different room, but the fact that our stay had been so awful the night before, we could no longer trust Osborne and made it clear we wanted a refund instead. We were told to take this up with Hotels.com - however we have now been told Obsorne have refused to give us any kind of refund. This is ridiculous as they did not even provide us a clean or safe place to stay! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!
