SureStay Hotel by Best Western Eureka

Ist so ziemlich das einzige Hotel auf dem Weg von Salt Lake City nach Carson City auf dem Highway 50. Von daher keine grossen Erwartungen. Frühstück war ok.

We requesred a quiet room and were placed next to a room full of noisy kids and parent. We were also facing the main road, hwy 50, so we did not get any rest. Also the lobby and breakfast area was freezing and the hreakfast was less than satisfactory, cery limited.

This hotel has 2 sections - the main hotel & a single-story annex with about 10 newer rooms in an older building nearby. This is a review of a room in the annex, which has the lowest priced (queen bed) rooms. Good: the room & bathroom were clean & well maintained. Linens were clean & white. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large with a long vanity counter & good lighting. Everything worked okay. (Did not use TV or Wi Fi.) Air conditioner was quiet. There were no odors. The building was quiet. Not so good: The room was small with furniture limited to the bed, a chair, mini-refrigerator with microwave on top, & one suitcase rack. The bed was in an alcove with just enough room in either side to access the bed. There was no dresser/desk, no table, no nightstands - basically no flat surface on which to put anything (outside of the bathroom counter) except for one small wall shelf on one side of the bed only, a semi-deep windowsill (which held a telephone), & a small platform on the chair arm. There was a table-top ironing board, but really no place to use it except the bathroom counter. Outlets were limited. Also, parking near the hotel appears limited. Neutral: ALL breakfast items were prepackaged - mostly sweet items, but also breakfast burritos, pancakes, yogurt. A microwave was available to heat things up. The breakfast area was clean. If one has to stay somewhere along Highway 50 in Nevada, this hotel is an okay place as long as one is aware of the room types. Paying a little more will apparently get one a better furnished room. The rooms in the annex seem overpriced for the amenities and work best if one has minimal gear.

Clean room and bath. Convenient location. Perfect waypoint.

Very Friendly front desk staff. Small room but BIG bathroom with tub. Fridge with freezer compartment and tiny microwave in room. Very nice breakfast. Come for the nice hotel on The Loneliest Road in America, but not for the view. We were in a building that had been added on and our room face a cinder block wall. Really.
