"Excellent"

The cottage was cute and only steps away from the lake. It had plenty of room for my husband and I along with my daughter son-in-law and toddler grand-daughter. The place had everything we needed for our weekend stay and the resort restaurant was very good. Fishing was excellent as we caught northern and bass every time we went out to fish and even off the pier. Everyone we spoke to were very kind and we would certainly recommend this resort to other families. However we did have a few things that gave this a good not excellent accommodation. The garbage dumpsters were right outside our door so it was rather smelly coming and going. The stairs to the pier were a little tricky so guests should be careful. It was hard to know where and how to get a boat and oars to borrow for our stay and it would have been great to have Kayaks or paddle boards to use on the beautiful lake. The playground was very dated and pretty dangerous for a toddler. The mattresses were pretty hard so sleeping was a little uncomfortable. I think that this resort is undergoing updates and I really think it is a work in progress but still worth the visit!
