Punn and staff are very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms and close to the beach and restaurants. The new bungalows with wood interior look amazing. Motor bike rental available to explore other areas of the island.

Lanta Smile is a chill family run hotel on the road leading down to Long Beach. The location is excellent. A quick two minute walk to the beach without having to cross any busy roads. There are lots of eateries in the area as well as a corner store and pharmacy close by. Miss.Puun ( Pronounced Pan) and her husband run a very welcoming and comfortable establishment. We stayed in the beautiful newly built wood cabins. They were roomy, exceptionally clean and very very comfortable. The wifi was top notch. I was able to download some Netflix shows for travel days:) At our previous hotel I was having asthma issues with the cleaning products used. Not so here. The AC was quiet and worked very well. Both Miss.Puun and her husband were very helpful with all our travel questions and recommendations for the area. The staff was friendly and efficient. We rented their Scooters for a day and found them to be safe and in great working order. Try a trip across the North middle of the island over to Old Town. We ate at Beautiful restaurant in Old town and it was the best squid I have had since Greece:) This isn’t a resort experience which I prefer. A very authentic Thai hotel. We will be back for sure!

We enjoyed our stay at Lanta Smile resort. The Staff were nice and friendly. We stayed in a detached bungalow which was clean and spacious. My only slight criticism would be the A/C isn’t quite strong enough but it does cool the room eventually, having said that it was very hot when we stayed. We rented a scooter for our stay with no problems. We also booked a day trip snorkelling through the resort, again no problems and good value. The free tea and coffee throughout the day was a really nice touch. The WiFi was fast. I will be back.

Second time staying at Lanta Smile and again it didn't let down. Stayed in the more expensive room as the bathroom is better. Generally it's a great location near Long Beach, quiet, relaxing and great hosts. I'll be back!

Overall great experience. You can’t beat the location, and the hotel staff are extremely nice and hospitable. It was also convenient to have water, breakfast, and other amenities only a few feet away. My room was not quite as nice as the rooms pictured, but it did not affect the experience. There was a couple of small issues with ants and 1-2 Beatles and roaches coming into the bathroom. It’s probably hard to avoid in a tropical climate like that, and it was fixed pretty easily by buying bug spray at the nearby mini mart.
