The owner left for the Netherlands.

Unprofessional customer service. Never on site to report thefts. No lockers or locks. They lie and insult guests who leave honest poor reviews. I saw two rats in the hostel, cats stay outside the rooms so they claim no rats because of cats. The response posted by staff who was not on site for the five days I was there. Unauthorized charges to my card. Over chlorinated pool. There was no soap in all the dispensers. Awful smelling dogs taken in the beach shuttle. Dirty linens. Harmony hostel tried to charge my credit card for a no-show, and cancelled the reservations. She took money in cash and used my credit card for $184. OF COURSE I WAS THERE. This is dishonest. I showed an email about my stay and it's from the same person who took my cash and is trying to lie. I had to block this app booking because this is now harassment and I don't want to talk to booking or harmony. There is no soap in the washroom or the toilet. My roommate got food stolen and nobody is in the office until evenings, to walk the dog. The WiFi doesn't work in the common area, only at the doorway of the router. The quality of the establishment is very poor. They also charge $5 for a towel, which is something most hostels include. I am not happy with this stay and urge you to reconsider. I saw rats running into the premises.

The location is far from the beach. The WiFi doesn't work fully, in the common areas, only next to the room with the router. The dispensers are empty, and there is no soap in the bathroom or the toilet. They charged my credit card a week after I returned home $184, which didn't go through.i paid in cash and they tried to say I didn't check in.

We booked this property last minute as we had our flight cancelled and thought we would be stuck for a few days due to weather back home. Yes, it says non-refundable, but it didn't matter at the time of booking. We thought we wouldn't be able to go home and all the hotels were booked. Within an hour of booking we got news that we had a flight. I immediately contacted the property and asked for a waiver to cancel the reservation. She acted like it would be no problem but after a few weeks of back and forth they stood firm that they would not refund us for never having stepped foot on the property. We are out over $700 for nothing. Expedia was no help whatsoever.

This property was very disappointing. The synopsis about the property made it sound very cozy and comfortable and it was just the opposite. I have never stayed in a place that was in such a poor condition.

It was a place to sleep. The manager when she arrived ~5:45pm was pleasant and apologetic.

No entry until 4:30 pm ; overcharged ; No key to lock my room until 6pm. Tried to charge for what she said was complimentary soda and pancakes. No refrigerator, hard unsanitary looking towels;dirty wet mop in bathroom collecting mosquitoes and gnats. No working TV remote control or microwave

Grounds and room clean, but owner is rude, unprofessional and not available when needed. They also alter price upon arrival. Also, no indication at address that your at “Tropical Oasis” but “Hampton Apartments”. Only found location after I found a passer by, the owner, standing outside “Harmony Apartments” - no indication it was “Tropical Oasis”. And although I was told I would be charged if I checked out late - low and behold owner was not present for checking out - waited 1 hour for owner -9-10am. Left keys with staff - $39 initial quote - added a room with private bath for $20—final charge on may credit card $105! I’ ll eat the cost, but this owner operator is the worst I have ever come across.

Wonderful caring host.

I arrived at check in time of 4pm and was not able to check in because the manager was not there. She showed up 45 minutes later. Check in was OK. I asked about the time for the free continental breakfast the details showed. She claims because it wasn't on the confirmation of the reservation, she was not going to honor it. The ad also says free airport shuttle. Details to contact the property did not come up on my end until I was already in route to the property so I ended up taking a taxi. She even claims that she called Expedia and that she wasn't wrong, they were not wrong, implying that I was wrong. Property is set back in a neighborhood so you will have to walk or take a taxi if you do not have a car. Not too many eating options close by. Manager offers rides at a price that changes but does offer 1 or 2 free dropoffs with you trying to find your own way back. There was an elderly couple there during my stay. I didn't see them after their 2nd day there because she had dropped them off for dinner and they walked back to the property 10 minutes in the dark. The property has a couple different names which included hostel lodging. While my room was a private room, there were many incidents involving the other guests that were disruptive. The manager took a guest's wallet and passport because he was smoking in an area he wasn't supposed to be instead of just keeping the deposit like a regular hotel. Do not stay here if you can help it!!!
