The Kailas Ubud

The Kailas Ubud is exactly as advertised, well kept and serviced by a wonderful group of staff. The breakfast provided each day was excellent. We particularly appreciated the large water cooler provided by the property, which allowed us to refill our own bottles each day.

Not a negative, just something to be aware of. The property is located down a very narrow lane, which some drivers will be reluctant to drive down due to the inability for two cars to pass. It’s about a 10 min walk from the property to the main road. The lane itself is well lit at night and never felt unsafe.

Beautiful villa in a very quiet area away from the madness of Ubud but with a couple of great restaurants a few steps away. The pool was great, a lovely way to relax and cool off after a day out. We were well looked after by fabulous staff which made our stay even more special. A particular thank you to Sudana was our driver and guide on a half day tour.

Beautiful villa with lovely private pool and the friendliest most helpful staff imaginable. Sudana in particular was fantastic and doubled as a wonderful tour guide on each of our last 3 days.

The location is very convenient for Ubud centre though the narrow lane way can be a little tricky to navigate.

The villa was beautiful, had everything we needed. The pool was also fantastic. Great air-conditioning and comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and the location was a easy walk or quick scooter ride to the main area of Ubud.

Getting there by car is a little tricky as the road is very narrow but that isn't the fault of the villa, just worth mentioning to your driver.

Absolutely everything about this Villa is great. The private garden, the swimming pool, bathrooms, overall cleanliness, bed, couch, staff and breakfast are all superb. Having two bathrooms in a villa was a huge bonus. The staff are fantastic and I spent quite some time talking with them each day. Jalan Sandat, the road the Villa is located on is a narrow road but there are several ways to combat this. The best way is to walk a very short distance to two other locations that drivers can access easily on the larger roads in the area. Being so close to several good warrants, Seniman Coffee and the main road, you do not need to use a car or scooter to access most of the area. I have quite easily even walked to the Monkey Forrest with 6 young children. Ive stayed in many places across the world and this really stands out as being a premier property, especially considering the price.

The fact I had to leave and come home was my only issue with the property
