"Just ok"

Its a basic place but the overall condition of the building was a bit run down , curtains were hanging off the hooks and massive boxes stacked in the entry way, bed has no headboard and super creaky (though decently comfortable) its a "get what you pay for" compromise but I font think I would book there again.

This property was excellent. The cleanest place I have stayed in ever in a big city. Lots of dining around and shops. Highly recommend!

It was not my fault that the passcode to enter the room didn’t work. I called the customer service for the correct passcode and was successfully able to open the door. I wanted to write the right pass code down so asked him to tell that to me again. He immediately told but I was not ready to take a note. I asked him to repeat that again then he repeated very quickly. That was too fast, so I humbly asked it again. Then he yelled at me like “(4 digit number)! Check the email! It’s already sent!” I responded like “oh, okay. Thank you so much.” even though I hadn’t got it yet. I then immediately checked my email but the passcode was not sent yet. Who would yell at customers like that? It was not a cheap property to stay but ruined my visit to Boston.

"NOT a hotel. Part of the Problem."

First off, Hotels.com is EXPEDIA. If you are trying to avoid Expedia, do not use Hotels.com. There were at least 3 impenetrable layers of faceless corporations involved in this reservation. Once I realized the hotel was not actually a hotel, was not merely ~$300 per night but double that due to a deposit, and was actually a much-needed housing unit that had been taken out of the housing market by some investment holding company, I tried to cancel. (This was within 15 minutes of making the reservation.) I then went into the vertically integrated corporate-unaccountability loop, of one entity handing me to another, round and round Maverick to Expedia to Hotels.com to Maverick (who did have a nice but powerless actual person answer the phone)... Ultimately I had to dispute the charge via my credit card company. I stayed instead at a delightful traditional rooming house, Anthony's Town House, owned by real people who lived on site. And I booked with them directly!

Overall good experience. Asked for extra towels and never received them. One of the bathroom lights was out and never got fixed. Can’t beat the location and although the room was a little small, it was comfortable enough for the two of us for two days/nights of sightseeing.

Perfect location. Nice property. Some minor things should be upgraded like the quality of towels and TV service. I have stayed several times in this property and Would probably come back.
