Hotel Ak'Na Holbox

The receptionist cared a lot of us. The hotel is wonderful! We felt it was the best of our holidays. Also was very close to the bioluminiscense. BUT!

It was IMPOSSIBLE to sleep... really. we where by 2, and if one moved a little bi, the whole bed was moving (cos is hanging). One finished sleeping on the floor! Also, was raining a lot, and was extremely difficult to get to the hotel by walk. you needed the 4x4 taxi. The receptionist told us to go trough the beach, that was very wonderful, but when we left in the morning was a high tide, so we got very wet...

Very friendly staff who offers help when you need it. You have a garden place to sit, and a kitchen with water. Close to the beach and a few nice restaurants to get your fill. If you want to be away from the busy centre, this is a perfect place.

Lovely hotel. Nice clean room and bathroom. Was a little far from the ferry port, however the beach adjacent was spectacular.

AC would have been good. However it was being implemented when we were there, which will be a good addition :)

Location, amazing backyard, super friendly and helpful staff!

I loved the location, the bed, and the views. the hammock was my favorite spot

there is no ac, and contrary to the reviews it gets hot at night

The room felt like a tree house in the jungle. should be listed as glamping

They said we’d have AC but it wasn’t working. Mosquitoes were very bad

Loved this place. Its been taken over by new owners who are definitely doing a great job with the place. It's super clean with nice rooms, an eating area and a rooftop where you can watch sunrise and sunset. Alberto was super friendly and helpful in every way. This place is right beside the beach, which is perfect. Fresh towels are offered every day, aswell as room cleaning. We would love to come back here :)

Beds were a bit small and a bit uncomfortable. Also bring earplugs as the roads outside are loud from about 6am as taxi drivers play their music really loud!

Beautiful rooms, very quiet at night, only a short walk from the beach. It's around 10/15 minutes to the center by foot but you can also rent bikes from the hotel. Alberto was a really nice and welcoming host, would definitely come here again! :)
