EVEN Hotel Austin Uptown near the Domain by IHG

I checked into the hotel and am just staying for one night. We ate at the hotel restaurant and the food was very good. Trevor helped us and was very friendly and helpful.

Every quarter for the last 20 years I work in Austin for 2-3 days. I have been searching for "the hotel" that I would use all the time. My company refuses to pay $60/night parking downtown so reasonability priced quality hotels outside this area are rare. I was totally taken back at how nice the Even hotel is. My room was gorgeous, large, modern, and clean. This hotel is similar in build to a Hyatt Regency or Kimpton. I slept like a rock the first night. I thought I had found my new favorite hotel until the second night. At 9pm a couple checked into the room above me. It sounded like 2 elephants. The floors at the hotel are a wood laminate/tile. They are beautiful to look at but they amplify sound. The couple was up all night. At 3am I had to go to the front desk and Luis (who is excellent) moved me to another room. Unfortunately the room was on the other side of the hotel and I could hear the sound of the highway and I was too awake to sleep. I woke exhausted. All I ask of a hotel is good AC, hot water and a good night sleep. It failed to deliver on a good night sleep. Also as a Diamond member I was surprised they didn't offer any form of compensation like extra points. Please note that the hotel informed me there is a mandatory Hotel Fee of $9.99/night for use of the pool, etc. I recommend if you stay here to request the top floor (5th).

Enjoyed a very pleasant work trip, staying here. Staff was super helpful and knowledgeable about the area. I enjoyed a veggie omelette today and Trevor was prompt and filled me in on some Austin news. I’m looking forward to next year’s meeting and staying in the EVEN.

De kamer was uitstekend! Het hotel is nog niet zo oud, dus alles was nog als nieuw. Het bed lag prima, de douche was echt perfect. De kamer is ontzettend ruim. Echt heerlijk dit hotel.

Het ontbijt viel wat tegen. Ik betaalde 18 dollar voor een behoorlijk klein broodje en kon na het ontbijt nog ergens wat eten gaan halen omdat het bij lange na niet genoeg was. Ook kreeg ik 6 ontbijt jam mini's bij mijn broodje om het bord te vullen. Als ik ei met bacon bestel op een broodje, hoort daar dus geen jam bij. Dat kan wel echt beter.
