Historic structure, good space, great location, friendly patron

No mosquito screen so kept window closed, breakfast

Located close to the city center and cruise Port, perfect place to stay before or after a cruise. The city was picturesque and the food and pricing were excellent. If in the area again I would definitely stay here. The owner was responsive and helpful with questions we had.

The ceiling was nice, the wi fi worked.

Windowless apartment and outside space was not useable, flies everywhere, even a packet of cigarettes and dirty ashtray left out there. The place needs a good clean, everything dirty, bathroom, kitchen, floors were filthy, the door did not lock, only the metal gate so we did not feel that secure. The electrics tripped at one point. It was noisy, not only street noise - people & cars passing but also the neighbours upstairs. A picture of the breakfast is below, instant coffee, no tea bags. Would not want to stay there again.

Overall the property is good and in nice location. If you just want to have a bed and shower, do your washing this will do nicely. It’s 10 min walk from train station and port. You have three supermarkets, bakery and farmers market within 5-10 min walk. Main Street with local restaurants is also 5 mins away. It can get a bit noisy as the apartment is right next to the street. Convenient self check in and check out. The property was overall clean in strategic places like bathroom and bed, however it was dirty in more forgotten places like corners and especially in the kitchen (cupboards, shelf’s, extractor or behind the hob). There was some fan in bedroom which was super dusty and we could not use it. The dish cupboard had some mould at the back board, and you could smell dump. The kitchen is not very well equipped. It has good size fridge, but super tiny worktop space or none worktop (table)and everything is very outdated. If you want to cook the frying pans are rather tired and look like they’ve been found in trash. There is some basic knives, but you can barely chop with them. There is also tiny terrace but again was quite dirty and we haven’t used it at all. But as I said, if you just want a place to sleep and get a shower close to historic town centre this will be perfect. We wanted to travel on the budget, so we hoped to cook more rather than eating out but it was a bit difficult with what was available. And definitely the property would benefit from some deep cleaning.

Domus Astra is in a good location and a short walk from amenities like groceries, restaurants, cafes, bars, etc. The property has vaulted ceilings and appears to have undergone renovation. Bathroom is large which you don't always find in properties like this. There is a large room upon entry with large bed and another room separating the kitchen area which has a daybed / couch available. The kitchen is well equipped making it easy for cooking meals. There is a small dining area in the kitchen and an attached simple courtyard. There is air conditioning. We walked to location from train station which was easy to find and it took about 15 to 17 minutes with luggage.

Locking / unlocking the main door took some getting used to as it wasn't always cooperative. There is another door / gate to lock which isn't a problem. Also, while the property was clean, the floors could've been cleaner as we noticed our socks were quite soiled after walking around in the rooms. And a bag of trash / and linens were left inside the doorway along with broom /floor squegee after the cleaning person left.

Host so kind to arrange for a late airport pick up. Great location to train station. Very roomy
