Tru By Hilton Novi Detroit

We checked into our room (108) which was a nice king bed room however when we went into the bathroom there was a heavy vomit smell. We noticed there was vomit along the base of the shower. My spouse went to the front desk and talked to the person working. She indicated she was the only one there so she couldn't come down to clean it so she handed her cleaning spray and gloves. We actually sprayed it down with the cleaner and left the room for a couple of hours. When we came back we opened the door and it instantly hit us again. I went back to the front desk and then was offered a different room. This time it was a queen bed room. The room was clean however we were not as comfortable in the queen bed as we would have been in the king bed. In addition, we couldn't get that smell out of our heads for the entire weekend. I sent a review to Hilton and have not heard back from anyone.

Highly recommend. Clean rooms. The concierge was extremely helpful.

The walls in the rooms are paper thin. We were kept awake by the noise of the room next door. The occupants were speaking at a normal volume, however we could hear every word that was said. There is construction on the road outside the hotel making entrance confusing and very unsafe.

My door is by card and the lock died but 5mins after they fixed it on the spot
