Excellent hotel if you want to be close to the nightlife in the city in an upscale and safe property. Amazing and accommodating staff. Very clean and comfortable rooms with a beautiful rooftop bar to view the city lights. My wife and I stay here every time we are in Medellin and it never disappoints.

We just finished a wonderful stay at the El Zarzo. We can't say enough good things about the warm and friendly staff who sincerely wanted to make our stay as enjoyable as possible (special thanks to Felipe at the front desk, Elisabeth at the hotel restaurant (and rooftop bar), and the hotel manager who helped us with our question. Food tip: try the tiny hamburger with the bacon, it's super tasty!

Amazing stay start to finish! All the staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience. Early check-in was accommodated and the room was very clean. Free welcome drink at the rooftop bar was an added bonus!

There's a reason this place has such a high review score. Everything about it is incredible. Felipe at the front desk is so friendly (and all the front desk staff addressed my by name as I came and went), the room was so trendy, comfortable, and perfectly quiet, the food was delicious, and there is no better location. If this was scored out of 100 they wouldnt get a 99 from me, they'd get a full 100.
