Best Western Plus Le Fairway Hotel & Spa Golf d'Arras

Myself and a group of friends stayed at this hotel Dec 2012. The accomodation was of a good and comfortable standard, however, Eating in the attached restaurant was very expensive for what turned out to be mediocre meals. The menu looked good and was priced accordingly. When challenged regarding toughness of the beef aspect of a meal a free coffee was offered in compensation. The three other meals were dissapointing for the price charged. 140.00 euros! No wine. Only two drinks were taken in the hotel bar. 2 single brandies 18 euros EACH!!! A nice place to stay spoiled by the extras.

Overall very good hotel. Comfortable and clean. Staff very helpful. Great access to the WW1 battlefields and to an excellent golf course.

There is nothing I can say that could make this hotel any better. Even though we weren't there for the golf it was a great place to stay and central for the places we were visiting.

The room was disappointingly small, there were various cigarette burns on the carpet and several large stains of indeterminable origin but looking quite unsavory. The shower fixture was broken and would not remain at a height suitable for use by anything other than a small child. It was an unusually hot evening made worse by the fact that despite paying extra for an executive room there was no air-conditioning nor could Reception provide a fan. The bar area was soulless and totally lacking any character. Thankfully we did not try the restaurant for dinner as breakfast was over-priced at 14 euros for some coffee, juice and continental breakfast, one hour before breakfast ended the hot selection consisted of 4 miniature sausages and some scrapings of what once was scrambled egg.

Restaurant was expensive for what was on offer, they bring out some nibbles when you first sit at the table, there were four of us but a table with two people had a larger amount so that felt wired then we seemed to be ignored, Breakfast is expensive for what is on offer ok if you liked smoked ham as you have hot and cold option in fact smoked meat seamed your only option. We quickly learnt to eat out at a third the cost, BBC world service on TV but no other English speaking channels. hotel room was not as exciting as in the pictures as it was Adjacent to the car park but it was quiet which came as a surprise. I would stay here again This is a lovely place for a golfer

Stopped overnight on way down and way back from South of France in May/June 2012. Handy stopover (90k from tunnel). Perfectly satisfactory, clean, staff helpful etc. Room was at the end of a corridor with limited views but this was not a problem for us as we just wanted a meal and a good bed. We elected not to have breakfast and made an early start but the evening meal in the golf clubhouse was good quality and reasonable. Definitely able to recommend this venue for quality and cost.

Stayed overnight at Arrass Golf Club on way down and way back from the South of France. Excellent first night stop after tunnel (about 90k). Perfectly satisfactory, clean etc. Dinner can be had at the club house 50metres walk down the road. Dinner was very good quality and not too expensive. Cheaper than driving into Arrass. We did not have breakfast. This was a very economic stop over. Room was right at the end of a corridor and had limited views but this was no problem to us as we really just wanted a good meal and a good bed. Very good value.

The staff, in particular the bartender ( Raj ) was extremely helpful. We got lost and he went out of his way to make sure we would get to the hotel. Unfortunately it was my mobile phone that decided to give up the ghost and therefore communication was lost. It was a Belgian/Scottish couple who live in Arras that helped us to get to the hotel. The food at the restaurant was very good and reasonable in price, a three course meal for two came to 79.50 Euros, excluding the wine. Breakfast next day was average, coffee lousy as it comes from a a push button machine. If you are a bit late coming down most of the croissants and pain au chocolate were gone. But after requesting more they were duly produced. The bathroom was not that clean and the broken floor tiles were an eyesore but overall the hotel was very nice.

Very comfortable out of town hotel with views over the golf course. A good restaurant with great views across the golf course. It was busy while we were there, so service was a bit slow. But the view helped us enjoy the meal.

A great hotel in a lovely setting. Very attentive staff, especially Raj the bartender. Perfect for disabled guests, very accessible. Great restaurant. Large room with wet room ensuite. Clean and comfortable and good value. A great hotel with its own golf course but even if not a golfer the hotel is a great base for touring the area and ww1 battlefield sites and memorials. Would definitely recommend .
