Aurora apartments

Everything was lovely – the apartment was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The facilities were great and we had a really enjoyable stay overall.

Very modern and spacious room. Kitchenette was very useful. Large supermarket located at a 8 minute walk and a small 24/7 local shop located 1 minute down the road.

Chania main town not really within walking distance however there was a free shuttle bus within a 5 min walk from the apartment. The lovely room was worth being a bit away from the main city.

Moderne, hochwertige Anlage, großzügige Wohnung State of the Art, ausreichend Privatsphäre, Parken kein Problem, sehr schöner Pool, gute Ausstattung.

Kein Geschirrspüler, die Lage ist eher weniger schön (etwas abgelegen, Baustelle gegenüber, Stadtrandlage weniger einladend)

L'appartement est exceptionnel : ils est spacieux, très bien équipé avec 2 salles de bain, une grande terrasse. La piscine est sympa.

Feels like brand new, super clean with all the comfort you want.

Distance to chania town, especially after a day of hiking, quite far (2,5km). We went outsite touristic season (beginning of April) and it was easy to find parking space next to the main road that leads to the center.

The apartment was brand new and nicely decorated. The kitchen was spacious with a full cooker & oven plus big fridge and freezer and was well equipped (though adding a small pan for eggs or milk would be helpful). There was also a practical washing machine in the bathroom with dryer for drying washing on the balcony. While there were 2 coffee machines (Nespresso style & filter), plus a sandwich maker & kettle, we did miss a microwave. The location was easy to get to with a car (it would not be practical without a car) & parking was very simple. The area had a lovely scent of orange blossoms & was peaceful (when the construction site opposite was not operational). Though we didn't use the pool & sun loungers they looked good from our balcony & others will appreciate the additional pool towels in the apartment. It took 10 minutes to walk (swiftly) to the beach, but you have to cross a busy traffic interchange in a not particularly attractive area. It would take at least 30 minutes to walk to the old town area of Chania.

The apartment was generally well-equipped, so our main issue was with the sofa bed which was quite different from the photos. It was really a very basic "clic-clac" type sofa not suitable for an adult - nor really for sleeping on as there was no mattress as such to tuck sheets into. Although we had explained in advance that we would require bedding for the sofa bed, we still had to call when we arrived for the bedding to be delivered. Note that neither this clic-clac sofa nor the other small sofa in the apartment were actually comfortable to sit on - both being very hard. Hopefully this clic-clac sofa is just temporary until the delivery of a real sofa bed that is comfortable to both sit and sleep on. The only other thing to be aware of is that after a couple of nights our room was unexpectedly cleaned while we were out. While we appreciated the cleaning, the sofa bed was not remade by the cleaners but rather left for us to try to remake again - clearly, they were not used to it being used as a bed either.
