We had a big lounge area and a nice big bedroom with comfortable bed. Very clean and nice little touches of apples, water and sweets as well as herbal teas in the room. Our host Eszter was very friendly and we found message her anytime we needed anything.

I actually arrived a day before I had booked my reservation and Eszter was kind and helpful and got me in a day early! There was a private balcony that overlooks the Black Cathedral that I had all to myself and enjoyed a cup of hot tea complimentary included with the room. Very good location and multiple breakfast options from two easy to get to locations. I ate at the restaurant directly below my room which has vegetarian options too. I will definitely stay here again and recommend to a solo traveler or anyone looking for an authentic hotel in a perfect location, safe, friendly and clean.

I certainly enjoyed my stay at Rossmarkt Haus. It is located right in the central area right next to the Black Church and the Christmas market. I was able to walk to most of attraction sites. I also had an option to choose between a hotel buffet and a la carte breakfast. The room was so cozy and warm, and the bed was comfortable to ensure a good night’s rest. I appreciate their warm hospitality.

Adding a couple days on the front of a Viking cruise, we spent a couple of days in Brasov. We prefer to stay close to downtown. I found Rossmarkt Haus on a popular hotel website. As is typically the case, finding a place to park can be quite difficult, so splurge for the optional private parking which is ~100 meters from the building, which also houses a restaurant. There are no elevators so you’ll be carrying your bags up one or two flights of stairs. We stayed in room #1, which had a big living room, separate bedroom, and a large bathroom. Wooden floors and windows overlooking the street, the living space was very comfortable. A mini-split unit covered the HVAC needs nicely. Breakfast is included, and is a choice between a hotel buffet across the street, or a la carte from the restaurant downstairs. We preferred the buffet. All-in-all, a very enjoyable stay, and one that we’d recommend if you’re going to be in Brasov. See my other reviews (Ograda and Cucinino) for places to dine. Recommended

The location could NOT be better! The bathroom window in my room looked directly at the Black Church! Everything you want to see is easily-walkable. The room was perfect. Staff was lovely, too. I would recommend the breakfast from the restaurant downstairs - Figaro - over the buffet option across the street.

Fantastic location, we could see the Black Church from our bathroom window! Really quirky and cosy attic room with exposed beams. Great bathroom, and really nice touches like candy in the room. The host couldn't have been more helpful, in regular touch to ensure we could check in early, and with advice re breakfast etc. Highly recommend! Such good value.
