We absolutely loved this place! Staff was very friendly. I was able to get an ironing board and iron delivered to my room right away. The food is amazing too! Only thing is the air conditioning unit in the room makes a terrible racket when we turned it on so we had to do without. My partner got hot at night but I did not.

Nice hotel in a great location. Room spotless, bed comfortable, staff friendly, food good, price reasonable. What not to like? Would definitely stay again.

Lovely stay. Very homely, happy smiling staff. Nice toiletries, clean modern facilities. The breakfast menu was varied and ingredients were good quality. We would happily stay again when we next visit the Peak District

Just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at The George which was the perfect location to explore the Peak District. Our room (Jane) was very comfortable, roomy and tastefully designed. It was at the front of the hotel but very well sound proofed as traffic noise was not an issue. Both the breakfast and evening meals were excellent but the true asset of the hotel are the staff. All very cheerful, polite and obviously take pride in their hotel. It was a fabulous few days and we're already planning to visit again.
