This place is absolutely incredible! Such amazing value for money. The venue is stunning, the food was fantastic and such excellent service. Can’t wait to return!

Fantastic stay, reallt friendly staff, amazing bar and restaurant and a lovely room. Only downside was expedia overcharging for the room compared to booking direct!

Had a great stay. The room was comfortable and all the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal that was excellent as was the breakfast. A great location for exploring the Peak District. We will definitely be back.

Anyone who rates this hotel less than a 5* don’t listen to them, it’s safe, clean, warm, staff are brilliant and the food and drink options are 10/10 Parking is great (make sure you get the code before you leave) Showers are beautiful, towels are beautiful, beds so comfy and the tv’s have all the apps to watch lots of programmes Book this hotel and we will be returning!!!😀👍

Poor breakfast choice

Lovely hotel. Lovely staff. I would stay again. Rooms were stylish. The only snag was the bed was cluttered with super annoying cushions that drove us mad! We had to keep cramming them into the wardrobe to get rid of them! The restaurant seemed rather overpriced. But it was a super hotel.

The George could be good, but just isn’t. With a view of the rubbish bins from our room, the consistent noise of the air vents from the kitchen all day, our room wasn’t even cleaned (and we only got back from a walk at 3pm!), the service in the restaurant and bar took 20-30 mins to even place an order, the food menu sounds great but is over cooked and not great. The quality of fit out is good, the execution isn’t and just the basics. There were enough staff working, so it must be poor management and limited coaching / upskill as the staff walk past you, head down and avoid eye contact. The bins could be moved, the staff could be managed and trained better - all fixable, but not a good experience.

Lovely place to stay over Xmas. Staff are very polite and attentive. The room was very nice. All walking distance to shops and bars. Definitely recommend ❤️
